| HOPE TO TIME-TRAVEL | An investigation into the possibilities of travel in time... WHAT IS A WORMHOLE(also called Einstein-Rosen Bridge)? A wormhole is in theory a tunnel through the fabric of space and time which would made time-travel both to the past and future possible. However there is no proof or reasonable evidence to support that wormholes do infact exist in the real world. If they do in order to keep them stable anti-gravity world be required to push the walls of the wormhole appart. So even if wormholes do exist they may very well not be useful as a time machine. Despite this wormholes remain the most likely way travel in time could be achieved! TIME IS RELATIVE! Both gravity and velocity can affect the rate at which time passes. Newton didn't understand this. Not until Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity (1905)did the world discover that time is relative... The fact that time is relative means travelling to the future is possible. If your stayed in a strong gravitational field (or travelled at a high velocity)for a year you could come out find a decade has passed for everyone else! Also scientists can't rule out the possibility of travel to the past, despite the so-called paradoxes because several solutions to these problems were found as you'ill learn from an extract of HOPE TO TIME-TRAVEL. |
