What's New with My Site?
News of my success or otherwise with travel to the past may reach this site soon! BACK TO THE FUTURE, TIME COP, FLIGHT OF THE NAVIGITOR, HOPE TO TIME-TRAVEL, TWELVE MONKEYS and DOCTOR WHO entertained fans of time-travel. But if we could really do it, that would be amazing...

2ND Extract from HOPE TO TIME-TRAVEL
We are forced to move forward in time at a steady speed or so we thought...

Newton's rigid model of space-time was not exactly right. Time dilation happens.
If my sources are correct HG Wells was the first person to call time a dimension in The Time Machine.

This novel was first published in 1895, that's ten years before the papers of special relativity were published. Time was described as a type of space. The only difference was we move along in time.

Einstein told us GRAVITY TELLS SPACE-TIME HOW TO CURVE AND SPACE-TIME TELLS GRAVITY HOW TO MOVE 58
In other words gravity is a warp in space-time. Gravity would not exist if space-time was rigid like Newton imagined.
Gravity does not just exist. It is there because a dent in space-time is there.

Imagine a large piece of fabric. After placing a large ball to represent the sun in the middle a large dent occurs. It's almost like a hole. This cause distortion which is easier to see if there are squares on the fabric.

Other bodies in space, that is planets orbiting the sun are forced to follow this curved path. You can test smaller balls falling towards the curve in the fabric. 59

Later using the general theory of relativity Einstein thought that gravitational waves might exist.

Studying the geometry of space-time
Time and space can easily be measured using simple methods. In some cases different clocks disagree between the amount of time that passed.

The special theory of relativity
This theory destroyed the idea that time was absolute. Newton said that the length of a minute of time will always be the same no matter how strong gravity is and what speeds observers are moving if at all. Einstein disagreed. He came
up with the time dilation effect. If you travel quickly time will slow down from your point of view. 60
You will experience less time pass than people that are not moving as fast as you.

The General Theory Of Relativity
According to this theory moving fast is not the only factor that affects time. Gravity also slows down time. Gravity tells space-time how to curve. In strong gravitational fields time is dilated. The gravitational field of the earth puts a dent in
space-time.
What is a wormhole?

This could take the doctor to the different times and places he has visited. This is certainly not against the laws of physics. 61
A tube-like tunnel might exist in space and could be the way to a different point in space-time.

Gravity exists between all pieces of matter. It tries to pull everything together.

In space stars also contain a nuclear force, which works against gravity. During most of a stars life the nuclear force is stronger than gravity.

Eventually the necessary nuclear fuel will run out as there are only a limited amount. No nuclear fuel will make the star collapse because it's the force that worked against gravity. No force is working against gravity anymore.
62
At a fast rate the now dying star is collapsing under it's own gravitational pull. As it gets smaller it's gravity gets stronger. Pressure creates gravity.
After it passes a certain radius (small size) the strength of the gravity can pull light rays back towards it.

A black hole now exists. We can't see black holes because light can't escape them into our eyes. If the star was spinning now a spinning black hole exists. In this a wormhole might exist.

A wormhole is a link to another point in space and time. It is a tunnel connecting different areas of the geometry of space-time.
63
It can take up to a distant place in some cases faster than light would take to travel to the same place using the normal route.

A wormhole could also take us to the future or past or far away planets! However these wormholes are theoretical and have not been proven to exist.

Tachyons travel faster than the speed of light, if they exist. According to solutions to the theories of relativity anything that moves faster than light moves back in time. This happens because space-time is folded back on itself.
